Description
The Gymno Variegated Cactus is a special cactus species. The official Latin name is Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii Variegated. This cactus has less chlorophyll than other plants, showing pink, red, orange and yellow colors. This makes this cactus stand out even more!
Cacti are among the most popular houseplants. This is partly due to its beautiful appearance, but also because the cactus is known for its easy care. This plant can take a beating. Cacti are native to Mexico and are known for being true sun worshippers. This cactus variant, however, likes to be in a spot with a little less sunlight, because of the variety.
Although the Gymno Variegated Cactus is not poisonous, it is useful to be careful with children and pets. The spines of the cactus can be quite sharp. Do not place this cactus near a south-facing window, but near an east or west window. Because of the variety, the bright afternoon sun can be harmful to the plant. If the cactus is in a place with a lot of sunlight, it can be watered every other week. Allow the potting soil to dry out between waterings. It is better to give this plant a lot of water in one go, than a little every now and then.
