Description
The rare Monstera Standleyana variegata (Philodendron Cobra, Five Holes Plant) is known for its gorgeous foliage and shape. The plant’s pointy leaves have striped and speckled white variegation. Whereas the Monstera Variegata is quite a difficult plant to care for, the variegated Monstera Standleyana is a bit sturdier.
Water the Monstera Standleyana variegata generously and allow the topcoat of the soil to dry up between intervals. Make sure never to overwater the Standleyana, as any standing water at the base can cause the roots to rot. We recommend placing a layer of hydro granules at the bottom of the pot to before potting the Monstera. That will allow for drainage, in case you incidentally overwater it. Place the plant in a light spot with filtered sunlight. Protect it from direct sunlight. If the leaves start curling, it means the plant is placed in too bright a spot, and you’d better move it a bit further away from the window. Maintain a high humidity by regularly misting around the plant.
