Description
The Nepenthes Alata (Tropical Pitcher Plant) is a carnivorous plant. Its pitcher-shaped leaves smell like nectar, which attracts insects. Once the insects land on the pitchers, they’ll be trapped by the plant. The Nepenthes Alata is therefore not only a real looker, but quite useful as a bug exterminator.
The pitchers are filled with water. If they’ve drained you should refill them up to about a third of the pitcher. Use lime-free water or rainwater to refill them with. Place the Nepenthes Alata in a light spot, in filtered sunlight.
